Union County Clerk Joanne Rajoppi (3rd L) presents a $500 check to Jennifer Calnek (C) of Elizabeth for placing third in the Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey (COA-NJ) annual scholarship program. They are joined by (left to right) COA-NJ President Michael Dressler (seated) Union County Deputy Clerk Alan Falcone, Union County Undersheriff Gerald Green Jr. and Jennifer’s parents Rebecca and Sid Calnek. COA-NJ is an educational organization of County Clerks, Registers of Deeds and Mortgages, Sheriffs and Surrogates of the New Jersey’s 21 counties. Their annual scholarship program awards outstanding students for academic achievement and community involvement. Jennifer, who recently graduated from the Union County Academy for Information Technology in June, plans on attending Rutgers University. Her mother, Rebecca Calnek, is administrative aide to the Union County Clerk. |
